CULPEPER REGIONAL AIRPORT
CULPEPER REGIONAL AIRPORT
Construction of a new 61,240 square foot, two thirteen bay tee-hangar buildings and one executive 6-bay hangar complex in Culpeper, Virginia.
These buildings feature pre-engineered metal buildings with metal roof and wall panels, interior metal partitions forming “tee” shaped plane bays, and include bi-fold hangar bay doors, and include electrical work and finished restrooms.
Bill Daffan and Henry Butler worked with Chemung Construction Company and the Culpeper Regional Airport authority to develop a realistic construction budget that was based on using the most cost-effective materials at the time to keep the shell cost under $ 40.00 per sf budget. The project included restrooms in one hangar to serve the tenants using the three hangars secured by magnetic locking devices.
All the finishes selected were standard with no long lead items which helped to shorten the overall construction schedule.
